The first half of 2011 has been a hectic one, with a few projects either starting up or gaining new impetus. The focus is (thankfully!) once more coming around to music, and quite a bit of music has been made, with more to come.

Lady Zeppelin has been received extremely well by all who have seen the show - the band is tight and professional, and a pleasure to play with. Donna is killing it out front, and we're planning to add an axtra dimension to the show by introducing the Lady Zeppelin Rock Show, which will include classic rock tunes from the 70's and 80's as well as prime Zeppelin cuts.
I am now into recording for the long-awaited Resonance Project album. I'm looking forward to finally doing these great songs justice with a high quality recording, and writing a few new tracks to complete the track list. After the album will come some shows, which will be something worth seeing.

In August I play my first instrumental gig for quite some time, supporting Kevin Borich Express at the Charles Hotel. After some initial trepidation, the first rehearsal of the GG Band laid all of my fears to rest. Everyone has done their homework, and Jim Awram and Troy Brazier make a dangerous rhythm section. It's inspiring to play with such talented musicians, and I'm hoping for a great set at the Charles.

It's finally been announced - planning for the inaugural Fire in the Hole Music Festival is underway, and initial indications suggest that we may just be on to something, bringing the best of WA rock bands together for West Coast music extravaganza. Twelve bands are named on the bill featuring two stages, and I am proud to be headlining the event. My set will include a cross section of my musical output from the last decade, and some special guests will be joining me to make it a gig to remember. I hope some of you can join me. :o)

Peace,
G.
