Description
This song has been a few months in the making but fell into place quite nicely in the last couple of weeks. From the onset it had that vibe but when my drummer Dean Wuksta laid down his jungle beats he really hit the nail on the head. Thanks mate! Anyway, when piecing this track together I tried to think of the greats, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters and even the late Jeff Healy as my inspiration so getting the right tones was paramount. The guitar amp used was a 5W Laney Lionheart turned right up and boy were those tubes pushed hard, that with my modified acoustic lap guitar we got some killer tones. Actually I never drove my amp that hard before and for the first time I heard some wonderful harmonics emanating from it rather like rubbing the rim of a wine class there was a distinctive tone that really made the difference.
I just love all this technology, so much fun. Who needs big recording studios? Unless of course you are recording a choir ;)
